Officers from the Chicago Indian Consulate will come to Indianapolis to issue Indian visas to U.S. passport holders. The Visa Camp is extremely helpful and will save you a trip to the Indian Consulate in Chicago. Visas will be available the same day. Visa applications from valid US passport holders will be accepted. No other consular services except issuance of visas will be provided at the Visa Camp (For example, applications WILL NOT be accepted for PIO card or dual citizenship). This group, led by reputed mridangam maestro Vidwan Anoor Ananth Krishna Sharma, is a unique musical ensemble. Unique in its content and presentation, this group is already one of the most-sought-after bands in the concert circuit in India.
This Fusion group boasts of having two of the most talented flautists of India, Vidwan M K PRANESH on the Carnatic flute and Suramani PRAVIN GODKHINDI on the Hindustani Bansuri. They have enthralled audiences the world over with their captivating solo as well as jugalbandi concerts. Both the Flautists are known for their creativity in their respective genre of music, so one can as well imagine the tides of melodious music that will flow from their bamboos when they perform in tandem, in an attractive jugalbandi.

In collaboration with the India Association of Indianapolis, the Garfield Park Arts Center is pleased to present Indians Indians – a unique cultural event for Indianapolis residents. This event will combine for the first time, artistic and cultural elements from Native American and Eastern Indian societies through a celebration of fine art, photography, regalia & customary dress, music and dance.
The exhibit will feature works by renowned architect K.P. Singh, contemporary Eastern Indian artist Gautam Rao, and cultural documentary photography by Chris Pehlivan. Enjoy a performance featuring world-renowned Miles Davis’ veteran tabla player Badal Roy and former Paul Simon bandmember, flutist Steve Gorn. Native-American Pow-Wow dancers will join Eastern Indian musicians for a once-in-a-lifetime performance for the entire community.
This event is free and open to the public.

Dhanurmasa begins on December 16th, 2007 and ends on January 14th, 2008 and Vaikuntha Ekadashi will be celebrated at the temple on December 20th, 2007. During this Dhanurmasa period, the regular temple hours in the morning on weekdays will be from 7 AM to 10 AM instead of 10 AM to 12 Noon (Monday to Friday) to accommodate the needs of devotees. A brilliant student, he earned a Ph.D in Chemistry, and enjoyed a successful scientific career. He also holds a Ph. D in Sanskrit. With his rich store of knowledge, his cheerful, unaffected manner, and his eagerness to share, Swami Tattvavidananda is a highly appreciated and beloved teacher at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. He is that rare combination of knowledge (vidya) and humility (vinaya).
