The installation Ceremony, prana pratishtha, is the set of rituals so that the idols that represent in the Hindu faith the Supreme Being are infused with prana, Life Force, after days of elaborate rituals of purification--cleansed with sacrifices with the five elements such as sound, fire, water, air and earth. The mood of the celebration is an invitation: "O God, represented by these idols! We have built a house, and purified the inner atmosphere with all holy and sacred rituals.
