Volunteers & Participants Needed – The IPL 500 Festival Parade

India Association of Indianapolis is collaborating with the Nationalities Council of Indiana to participate in the 2009 Indy 500 Festival parade.  We are looking for volunteers who would like to participate in the event.  Details are provided:

When: Saturday, May 23, 2009, begins at noon

Where: Two miles through downtown Indy

Media: Parade is televised nationally and locally on ESPN2 and WISH TV-8.

Attendance: 300,000+ spectators line the parade route

Parade participant requirements:

• must be 10 years old or over
• should be able to meet @10 am on Parade Day
• must be able and plan to walk 21/2 miles of the parade route
• must wear traditional Indian  attire

Don't miss the 52nd IPL 500 Festival Parade. It is one of the nation's premier parades featuring celebrities, breathtaking floats, marching bands, giant balloons, special entertainment groups and the 33 starting drivers of the Indianapolis 500.
